St Joseph’s off mark early

Glenelly…………………………1-10
Drumragh……………………..0-10

THE host St Joseph’s scored the game’s only goal at Plumbridge to seal  both league points on their seasonal bow following last week’s first  round bye in Group Two.

Cathal O’Neill supplied the major score of the match not long after  half-time and it was a timely strike that gave added impetus to this  St Joseph’s challenge.

Drumragh had been even over the interval on 0-6 each, four Shane Cleary points helping the away team’s cause.

Cleary had two more later on for the Sarsfields, with Eoin Montgomery, Shane Devine and Eamon McCann supplying the remainder of the visiting side’s points.

As well as that O’Neill goal, the St Joseph’s pressed on in point terms too through Barry McConnell, Rory Kennedy, Ronan O’Kane, Seamus Harkin and company.
