James McCaul, Todd’s Leap Racking and Shelving
Since first joining the company at a very junior level at the age of 14, James has grown significantly in confidence and self-esteem to become a key member of the team. Having joined the apprenticeship programme and studied at South West College, James is a dynamic and pro-active worker who is keen to offer suggestions and improvements to the business. His current job role is Team Lead in the welding department. James works closely with a staff member called Lee who is deaf and cannot speak.
Yasmin Forsythe, The Goldmine Jewellers
Yasmin began her career at The Goldmine and, when she finished school, joined the business full-time. She has completed a retail apprenticeship and is considering going forward to do a Level 3 qualification in retail management. The most remarkable contribution Yasmin has made is transforming the social media platforms by using more video and interactive content. Turnover has consequently increased and customers are coming in mentioning the items they saw on social media and asking to purchase. Yasmin also put together a website for the business during lockdown.
