Think Calm Be Calm
Offering advice and therapeutic assistance for people struggling with their wellbeing, Think Calm Be Calm was conceived as an idea by Lisa Stevenson during the first lockdown in response to the challenges of home schooling. Lisa’s heart lies with helping her clients with their wellbeing – giving them practical tips and tricks and examples of ways to maintain healthy emotional wellbeing and incorporate self-care into their lifestyles. Her extensive online work has seen participants joining in from Australia, Europe and America.
The Guitar Studio
A creative hub for musicians of all ages in the local area to learn instruments and record music, The Guitar Studio opened its doors in September 2020 in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. It initially offered online lessons during lockdown and these have continued for students in places like Belfast, London and Portugal. Founders Owen McNulty and Matt McGlinn advertised their services through social media and now teach in seven local schools and have over 60 individual customers/clients coming to lessons at their premises weekly.
Beehive Off Licence
The only walk-in off licence in the village of Dromore, the Beehive perfectly complements the adjoining bar, known as The Beeswing. It stocks a wide variety of popular alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including speciality whiskeys and spirits, as well as select brands not found easily elsewhere. The owner only bought the bar and off licence towards the end of 2021 and, in a short space of time, has built a beer garden and invested in the growth of the off licence by employing a wine specialist.
