Tyrone concede six goals in heavy Kerry defeat

Kerry 6-15 Tyrone 1-14
TYRONE’S National League season came to an end at the Division One semi-final stage after a 16-point hammering at the hands of Kerry in Tralee.

The damage was done in the first half as Peter Keane’s side hit the net an incredible five times to take a 14-point lead in at the break.
David Clifford, from a penalty, Gavin White, Dara Moynihan, Paul Geaney (2) all found the net in those first 35 minutes as Kerry led 5-6 to 0-7 at half time – Tyrone’s mood not helped by a serious looking injury suffered by Darragh Canavan.
To their credit, Tyrone were much more competitive in the second half and substitute Tiernan McCann finished low to the net after good build-up play by Darren McCurry.
Kerry rounded things off with a sixth goal though as Jack Barry tapped into an empty net after Tommy Walsh had caused Niall Morgan to fist into his path.
