THE Met Office has put in place a yellow weather warning across the entire North with a high risk of fallen branches, trees and debris on the roads.
More wind and rain is expected with major disruption to transport being likely.
The storm is expected to arrive this afternoon – bringing with it a yellow weather warning.
Officials from the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) are meeting with the PSNI, NIE and other agencies to consider the response to the storm.
Tuesday’s storm is approaching from the Atlantic Ocean and a wind warning will come into force from 4pm on Tuesday.
The alert will remain in place until 1pm on Wednesday, when winds are expected to ease.
The storm is not expected to be as severe as Storm Isha, but the Met Office is predicting gusts of up to 65pmh.
