A STRABANE man who is accused of the murder of Stephen Holmes in Strabane in February is to be re-interviewed by police today.
A solicitor representing Dylan McCrossan (31), of Beechmount Village, confirmed in Strabane Magistrates Court earlier today that his client is to be re-interviewed today by police so they can better establish the ‘background’ to the incident.
McCrossan was initially charged with grievous bodily harm, but that was upgraded to murder after the victim died.
Mr Holmes sustained what were described in court as ‘significant injuries’ after being attacked in Strabane on February 3.
The 31-year-old, formerly of Beechmount Village, was treated in the intensive care unit of the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast but passed away from his injuries five days later.
McCrossan is currently in Maghaberry awaiting trial for the killing.
He is also charged with being in possession of a class A and C drug at the time of his arrest.
The case was adjourned for four weeks, and McCrossan will appear before Strabane Magistrates Court via video link again on May 29.
