Omagh fundraising event tomorrow for church project in Africa

FIRST Omagh Presbyterian Church will be hosting a fundraising event tomorrow.

It will involve a treasure hunt and a hog roast barbeque.

All the money raised at the event will be used to support members of the church who are travelling to Africa this summer.

For many years the congregation of First Omagh has supported the Christian work in the Louden Mission Station, Embangweni, Malawi.

This summer, a team from First Omagh will be travelling to Embangweni to continue this long-standing partnership, bringing practical support and encouragement to the community.

“While we are in Embangweni, we will be involved in a range of projects to support the Embangweni community that will make a difference,” said a church spokesperson.

Tomorrow evening, the treasure hunt will set off from First Omagh church at 6.30pm.

The barbeque will be held at Killycurragh Community Hall from 8pm.

The cost is £10 for adults, with children free of charge.

There will also be an auction on the evening for a 60-minute flight.
