New Tyrone joint managers are appointed

THE Tyrone GAA has confirmed that Feargal Logan and Brian Dooher will be the new joint managers of the county senior football team.

Both were members of the Red Hand side which reached the All-Ireland Final in 1995 and manager of the Tyrone U-21 team which won the All-Ireland in 2015, the Stewartstown clubman was tonight handed a three-year term in the post.

They will succeed Mickey Harte, who stepped down earlier this month after 18 years, and was the only applicant interviewed following the withdrawal of Mickey Donnelly.

Feargal Logan and Brian Dooher will come to the post with impeccable credentials. They already managed a large number of the current Tyrone senior players at U-21 level, so they will be well aware of his abilities, dedication and commitment.

In a statement released a few minutes ago, the Tyrone GAA welcomed the appointment.
