The Dennett Anglers Association over the winter months continued to deliver outdoor activities for participants from the Dennett Valley area.
The organisation is most grateful to the Public Health Agency and the CLEAR Project for the support of these programs, without this relationship such workshops would not be feasible.
The program of activity sessions all contained an environmental theme, from hill walking, river discovery walks to the very popular introduction to angling workshops.
Up to thirty participants engaged in this program over a 10 week period, the activities also witnessed a cross over element with the neighbouring Dennett Valley Health Network (Men’s Shed) in Dunamanagh.
William O’Neill, chairperson of the Dennett Anglers Association, stated: “This new found partnership is already proving very wholesome, with many of the participants now engaging with one another and across other workshop areas in the Dennett Valley.
“The Anglers Association would like to thank Andy at Ballyheather Trout Fishery for the use of his top quality facility, as well as Foyle Valley Wildlife for the delivery of the Environmentally themed workshops.”
