Strabane fights back against Covid-19

An innovative new cleansing lamp system could be a game-changer when it comes to helping Strabane in the fight against Covid-19.

It is being promoted by Strabane company Power House Innovations LTD. A spokesperson for the company explained, “In all schools, offices, shops and homes the new PHI Virus Kill Lamp produces O-Zone to extract virus and germs from soft furnishing, while the second phase, the ultra violet light destroys the virus and other germs like E-Coli in 40sq meters with one lamp in one hour.”

There are no chemicals used in the destruction of germs and virus with this equipment “It is proposed that up to 20 local employees can sterilize homes, offices, shops and schools in the local area.

Teams of two operatives with 10 PHI Virus Kill Lamp would go to hot spots (anywhere there has been a confirmed breakout or positive result) and sterilize the area to stop further contamination and spread or mutation of this virus. When they kill the virus at source like this the risk is greatly reduced for other people, and with a quick response from the local health services can eliminate the virus in the town completely. This will be the best and most frequent use of this equipment but it can be purchased direct from the website.

The charge for each house or site would be as low as £50 and only take one hour to complete. All staff will have complete PPE and can be trained at Craft Training Services in Strabane to which all applications should apply.

It is possible with today’s new cases to cleanse six sites by each team in eight hours producing an income of £36,000 per year for each operator or their promoter. It is hoped to continue this through Ireland creating 600 new semi skilled well paid jobs in a short time using this new technology to keep this virus down and avoid variants that could weaken or beat the vaccine,” he explained.

“Further testing at ten sites will continue next week and over the next few months to show the local council and MLAs and those in Stormont – to whom we have made many requests without one answer – we can open our shops, hairdressers and other places where people mix. The local vintners propose and are awaiting a overall agreement to close for one hour in every four to use the PHI Virus Kill Lamp and show customers they are doing their best to keep them safe and get people back to work.”
A number of Strabane businesses have already tried the PHI Virus Kill Lamp, a list of them and other information can be found at www.phi-ltd.ie.
