Music lovers from Omagh will be in for a treat as the eclectically influenced vocal harmony folk group, Trú, make their Strule Art Centre debut next month.
Made up of three musicians, the Ulster-based folk group features familiar face, Michael Mormecha, who is a well-known member of the local rock music scene.
He is the driving force of the Derry rock group, Mojo Fury, who has toured all over Europe, supporting bands like Biffy Clyro and
Oceansize.
Michael is joined by Dónal Kearney, a highly-esteemed performer and teacher who has featured on two ANÚNA albums, and has performed onstage in Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo and in major venues throughout Europe.
Also featuring are producer and guitarist, Zachary Trouton, another staple of the Irish music scene, who has performed the length and breadth of Ireland with numerous bands.

Trú blends together ant array of musical influences to create something refreshing and unique.
The band takes a modern approach to traditional Scottish, Irish and Ulster Scots songs, and breathes new life into some centuries-old musical pieces.
Their debut album, ‘Eternity Near’, was nominated for a Northern Irish Music Award, and was ranked in Mojo magazine’s Top 10 Folk Albums of the year in 2021.
The band are currently on tour, and will make stops in towns and cities including Armagh, Derry, Dublin Portstewart, Portaferry and Belfast.
