Inspiring the next great Irish novelist or poet is the aim of a two creative masterclasses in Cookstown and Dungannon, hosted by a popular best-selling author who hails from Tyrone.
Emma Heatherington will soon grace the Burnavon Theatre in Cookstown and the Dungannon Enterprise Centre, where she will share her intelligently-honed creative writing skills for all levels of writers.
In this master class, participants will learn how to successfully develop characters, find ideas for plots, take part in fun-filled constructive exercises, and learn tips on how to get published.
Emma is the international best-selling author of 15 novels, including the Amazon UK and USA Kindle hit, ‘The Legacy Of Lucy Harte’, ‘Secrets In The Snow’, ‘The Promise’, ‘One More Day’, and her newest release, ‘This Christmas’.
Her novels are set in Ireland, where they intertwine life-affirming issues with heart-warming love stories.
Emma’s distinctive style, which is full of poignancy and warmth, has developed a loyal and growing fan base.
She has been hailed as ‘the Queen of hearts’, and has been compared to the late Maeve Binchy.
Emma’s books have been published in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Hungary, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.
She has also collaborated with country superstars, Philomena Begley and Nathan Carter, on writing their respective autobiographies, both of which were Irish Times bestsellers.
Emma told the Tyrone Herald, “These workshops are for anyone who has an interest in creative writing.
“All levels are welcome, and I try and help people write what they are interested in, rather than make people write like me.
“The workshops are designed to be very informal, fun and everyone who attends always has a great time.
“In my previous workshops, people are always massively-surprised by what they can accomplish in such a short space of time.
“I pretty much guarantee that everyone will leave with three completed works or three ideas of works to complete.
“Who knows what creative gems we will uncover together.”
