Jake O’Kane will finally be bringing the laughs to Omagh’s Strule Art Centre this Friday (March 25) after a number of postponements and delays.
The funny man is looking forward to presenting his irreverent comedic stylings to Tyrone, where he will deal with the really important questions,
such as… who put Jamie Bryson on that bin?
Are Catholics more prone to catching Covid-19 than Protestants?
Is a Union or Tricolour face mask better at protecting you from Covid-19?
And can he charge more for his end-of-year shows?!
The show is part of Jake’s ‘The Mask Comes Off!’ All-Ireland tour, where he will be talking a satirical look at political events in the North and further afield, along with a set full of jokes and
stories.
The North Belfast comedian is best known as a former panelist on the BBC NI hit panel show, The Blame Game, which he left last year, after being a permanent panelist on the show since its inception 17 years ago.
In the past, he has hosted the BBC’s ‘One Night Stand’, and is a regular MC at The Empire Laughs Back Comedy Club in Belfast.
He has also made guest appearances on ‘Give My Head Peace’ and performed on ‘Comic Relief’, as well as being one of Ireland’s most-watched comics on the stand-up comedy circuit.
Jake will be supported on the night by fellow Belfast comedian, Terry McHugh, who will be sharing his stories of what it was like to be what he says was ‘marooned’ in Tyrone during the 2019
lockdown.
Jake has also played in Enniskillen Armagh and Derry, as part of his All-Ireland tour.
Tickets are still available, and for more information you can go to the Strule Arts Centre website: https://struleartscentre.co.uk/ show/jake-o-kane-maskerade-the-mask-comes-off-sorry/, or phone them on 028 82247831.
All activities during the show will be undertaken in accordance with current Covid-19 restrictions and public health guidance and are subject to change should regulations change.
