Janet Devlin to headline Omagh Pride

GORTIN pop star and former X Factor contestant, Janet Devlin, will be the headline act at this year’s Omagh Pride Festival in June.

The local singer is currently riding high in both the UK pop and country iTunes charts with her latest single ‘Emotional Rodeo’ placing at number 17 in the pop charts, and number four in the country charts.

The former X Factor singer said, “Did I wake up and cry a little? No, I cried a lot! Number 17 in the main chart and number four in the country music.

“I truly didn’t see this coming at all – my gratitude is unmatched.

“Thank you to everyone who bought the song on iTunes so far, and to everyone streaming it! I owe you so much.”

The singer as recently been on a number of high profile tours across the world including in Australia where she performed with Academy Award winning actor, Russell Crowe and his band.

She will be taking the stage at Omagh Pride in Main Street Car Park on Saturday, June 22.

A spokesperson for the organising committee said, “Hugely-excited to reveal that Janet Devlin will be performing at Omagh Pride 2024 in the week that she is number four in the country charts and number 34 in the UK charts for her new track, ‘Emotional Rodeo.’

“We were delighted to have Gortin’s most famous bisexual with us in 2022, and we can’t wait to hear her new country style on Saturday, June 22. Don’t miss it!”

Also on the bill will be a Dolly Parton tribute act along with several drag performers and other entertainers.

This will follow the annual Pride Parade which will set off from the Main Street car park in the morning, traveling on its traditional route around the town before arriving back in Main Street.
