Did you have a role model as a youth?

My parents Aidan and Ethna were both role models, but my mum was someone special. As for as an educational role model, my former English teacher in St Patrick’s Boys Academy, Mr Sean T. Hughes, was the first to get me inspired by literature.

It was Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar that caught my attention. In the arts, it was Sean Faloon at the Bardic.

The birth of my first daughter Maisie.

And your saddest?

What makes you angry?

Drivers that don’t acknowledge you when you let them out in front of you. It’s just nice courtesy.
