On The Stage With: Conal Flood

Conal Flood is a marine mechanic, and a musician, who has built up a studio over the years, and has enjoyed hearing his work being featured on Xbox games and the radio.

Recall for us an early memory you have of music.

I remember Sunday drives with the family when I was around 8-years-old. We listened to Gareth Brooks, I was obsessed. I was given a child’s guitar with a speaker and a headset for Christmas, I would stand in the garden and sing as loudly as possible “standing out by the Byre” while wearing my cowboy hat… later on I realized the lyrics were “standing out by the fire”

Tell us a fun or surprising fact about you that people may not know.

Writing music became a big thing in my life when I was a child. I got a CD copy of Dance Ejay in a box of cereal, and it all started there. Eventually, I moved on into Ableton – music software – and I built up a full studio over the years. I’ve had pleasure of working alongside other artists with great talent, and I have had my music featured on Xbox games, MTV, radio, and so on.
