The Alley Theatre is bouncing into Spring with a packed programme of top class entertainment for all ages, with drama, music and song aplenty over the coming weeks.
April sees a musical extravaganza at the Alley, with Scotland’s most exciting folk act Breabach leading the programme of top class talent. Don’t miss this opportunity to catch their remarkable blend of traditional and contemporary music live on 8th April.
April also ushers in an exciting array of local talent as Strabane Unplugged Revisited promotes the talents of the newest generation of musicians following in the footsteps of the original founders to bring you an exhibition launch on 20th April from 7.00pm -10.00pm which is free admission but booking essential and an amazing two evenings of exceptional performances from April 21– 22.
American Folk
The music plays on until the end of the month when Springsteen fans will be thrilled to join The Seeger Sessions Revival, as they rediscover the energy and spirit of the Seeger Sessions album. Get set for a lively evening of traditional American Folk, Bluegrass, Country, Gospel and Dixieland Tunes on April 28.
And there’s plenty for younger audiences to enjoy as well, with a fun-filled day on April 30th in the company of the Barking Dog Company. Join Eddy the Teddy for some high jinks at the Teddy’s Sports Day, and get caught up in some adventures on the high seas with Jim Hawkins from Treasure Island.
All about Jazz
May is all about Jazz in cabaret style seating, with the return of the annual City of Derry Jazz and Band Festival. The Alley will be warming up those jazz hands to welcome Sarah McQuaid who makes her debut in Strabane on May 4th.
Hot on her heels on May 5th will be renowned singer song writer Brian Hassan and on Friday May 6th spend an unforgettable evening with popular local artist Gerard Bradley who is accompanied by Ruth Corey and Robert Peoples on violin.
