DOZENS of musicians, comedians and DJ’s have been going live to keep us entertained throughout lockdown as we all try to get through these strange and uncertain times together.
This coming week is no different and I’ve picked out an array of live shows, with something to suit all tastes.

THURSDAY, MAY 7
• Rian Murphy – Indie/Pop/Rock Covers and requests at 8.15pm.
• Colm and Catriona Kirwan – Country Covers and Originals at 8.15pm.
• Pat McManus – Former Mama’s Boys and Celtus front-man, this Guitar and Violin master is a joy to watch – 9pm.
FRIDAY, MAY 8
• James Bay – The Hold Back The River singer is doing regular guitar lessons on Instagram Live at 5pm.
• Katherine Jenkins – Opera and Musical Theatre legend Katherine Jenkins performers a special 30 minute live show from The Royal Albert Hall, performed behind closed doors for the first time in the venue’s 150 year history at 6pm.
• Shane Todd’s Rave Lockdown – It’s the last in the series for The Rave Lockdown on BBC Radio Ulster. 90mins of dance classics with comedians Shane Todd and Dave Elliott from 6pm.
• Sophie Ellis-Bexter – Sophie sings Disco classics with the family from home at 6.30pm
• Brand New Friend – The Last night of The Lockdown Tour Part II from the North coasts Brand New Friend, for fans of high energy indie/pop originals from 8pm.
• False Friends – Front man Jonny Kirwan kicks things off False Friends originals and cover requests from lockdown in Omagh at 8pm. Band mates Fearghal McMahon and Anna Doody then take over the stream with covers and requests from their base in Glasgow at 9.30pm.
• Bantam and Fowl – Niall and Cara return with their pitch perfect harmonies playing some golden oldies and requests from 8pm.
• ABANDOMAN – Former Tour support to Ed Sheeran the Daly’s Comedy Club hall-of-famer, Rob Broderick AKA ABANDOMAN returns to Instagram live with his trademark improvisational comedy hip-hop based on audience suggestions at 9pm.
• Sean Magee – All Ireland Fiddle champion, Sean Magee returns with his ever popular Friday Night stream at 9pm
• The Deckchair and Yumz Pub quiz – Comedians Micky Bartlett and Conor Keys return with their Friday night pub quiz on Spreaker.com at 9.30pm. Micky Bartlett has taken over the reigns as quiz master while Conor Keys takes on the nation.
SATURDAY, MAY 9
• DJ Enda – Enda Harpur goes live from 7pm playing all your favourite dance floor fillers in association with PMAX Fitness.
• Ivan Brackenbury and Friends – The Hapless Hospital Radio DJ as seen on 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown goes live every night this weekend with a hilarious live show from 7.30pm.
• Brian and Keelan Pritchard – Father and son duo playing your requests from 8pm.
• Duff Balloons – Ryan ‘Duff’ Tracey is back on the Britain’s Got Talent stage this weekend on ITV from 8pm. (Good Luck Duff!)
• The Logues – Kiel and Logan are back with their regular Saturday night session at 8pm
• Davy K – Davy Kerrigan returns from 9pm with classic rock and blues covers.
• DJ 2J’S – JJ Quinn is pulling an all nighter! Join him from 9pm-5am for an eight hour late night dance marathon!
SUNDAY, MAY 10
• Rory and The Island – Rory Gallagher plays a high energy, no holds barred set of his own hilarious
originals from his time with The Revs including Wired To The Moon, Mad Dog Coll and Ryanair Blues plus all of your favourite covers from 8pm.
• Johnny Gallagher – One of the best guitarists in the country, the incredible Johnny Gallagher from The Boxtie Band is back for week 8 of his lockdown sessions at 8pm.
• Owen McNulty – Acoustic covers from 8pm.
MONDAY, MAY 11
• Barry Kirwan – Country originals and covers at the regular time of 8pm every Monday.
