The Alley will host the Strabane Drama Festival which will run from Friday 11th March- Saturday 19th March with a variety of shows taking place.
Each show will begin at 8pm every evening. On opening night, Friday 11th March, Theatre 3 Newtownabbey will present ‘The Anastasia File’. Did the daughter of Tsar Nicholas II die with the rest of the imperial family in 1918? Or was she the girl found in an asylum in 1920? This brilliantly executed drama presents the case for and against “Mrs. Manahan” using only four actors! Audiences are spellbound by this compelling play which has a final surprising twist.
You can see the full Strabane Drama Festival line up at www.alley-theatre.com.
The Alley Theatre will also present Orange Is The New Green, a hilarious new look at the life of Norn Iron’s only Catholic Orangeman. The play catches up with Liam just when he is wrestling with his new identity and shines a spotlight on the challenges he faces as well as the reaction from his local community in Strabane. With a cocktail of characters including the parish priest, the nosey neighbour and the local unit of the IRA and many more, this will be a feast of laughter while opening up the discussion. Are we really all that different after all???
