SOME £2million is to be pumped into a redevelopment of the Asda store in Strabane.
Revealed this week by the supermarket chain, the works are regarded as the biggest transformation of the store since it first opened. Set to be completed in late October, the redevelopment will include a complete front of store transformation.
An Asda spokesperson said, “We’re excited about all of the new offers we’re bringing to Asda Strabane in 2020, including an improved click and collect facility, an expanded George department and a hot pizza counter.
“Everyone is working hard behind the scenes to ensure there’s minimal disruption for our customers. We’d like to thank them in advance for their patience whilst we make these improvements to the store, which we hope to have completed by late October.”
As part of the works, the store will also gain a new customer service desk and the café will be given a new-look.
And the click and collect operation will be improved to include additional capacity for orders, with a drive-through facility placed near to the entrance of the store.
