How many staff do you employ? 1 Full Time and 4 Casual Staff

What are your strengths? I am very passionate about my business and the products we supply, I am hard working and good at thinking outside the box

What are your weaknesses? Not being able to switch off!

Has Covid-19 affected your business? Thankfully it hasn’t affected it too much. With people spending more time at home and working from home we are providing a solution of affordable fully programable heat where and when required reducing energy bills with a carbon neutral product

What makes your business unique? Simplifying heating without the need to plumb whilst linking cast iron which is a high conductor of heat to modern technology using a low wattage electrical input. Linked with renewable energy sources our product can help reduce carbon emissions.

What does your business mean to you? My business means everything to me it’s what I have known all my life from my father introducing me to enamelling cast iron to now 25 years later having a product of my own which recently won Most Innovative Heating Solution 2020 in the UK Enterprise Awards.

Aside from family and friends, who has been the greatest influence on your life? George Armstrong (who we named our son after) a local neighbour who taught me the meaning of hard work, dedication and good thought process.

What are your plans for the future? We are currently developing a hot water system for homes that is run purely on electric which will provide hot water through a tankless system on demand therefore complementing our ElectriCast radiators providing a complete heat and water system for homes and businesses

Any advice for anyone starting out in your industry? Have faith in yourself and your product or service and persevere until you get where you want to be

If you weren’t in this field of business, what would you be doing? Before I started working with my father I had spent 10 years cooking, my dream was to open a restaurant

What do you do to relax? I enjoy walks on the beach and spending time with my family in Donegal

What would you do if you won the lottery? I would invest in my business after I have taken my wife and kids on a holiday and depending on how much money I won would help out my family and close friends.

We might be limited in our travel at the moment but where is your favourite holiday destination? I’m not really one for taking holidays but I do enjoy getting away to our holiday home in Donegal

What do you miss most about Tyrone when you are away? My local community and family and friends

If you could swap lives with someone, who would you choose and why? I wouldn’t swap with anyone I believe you should make the best of what you have and aspire to be the person you want to be.
