STRABANE Sure Start is delighted to be able to share with you our new autumn/winter timetable for 2020.
2020 has been a difficult year for us all and we at Strabane Sure Start want to ensure that all our service users are still receiving the best service possible. Due to Covid-19 restrictions we have had to change our approach to how we facilitate programmes.
Rather than face-to-face groups, we are relying a lot now on other methods of facilitation, including telephone support, zoom calls, garden/gate visits, home activity packs and prerecorded activities.
As you can see below, we have a wide range of groups on offer both for antenatal and postnatal parents.
ZOOM
Most of our groups now take place via media platform ‘zoom’ where parents can log on and complete the programme in the comfort of their own home. You can use the time in the group to ask other mums or our staff any questions you may have. Each programme comes complete with resources which are emailed or delivered to your door.
We still offer telephone support to any parent who requires additional advice on any subject such as antenatal support, breastfeeding, babies’ development, speech and language advice, toilet training etc. Strabane Sure Start is open to any registered antenatal parents or parents with children from birth – three years 11 months.
Our services are available to those who reside within our Strabane Sure Start wards- North, South, East, West, Finn, Dunamanagh, Plumbridge, Sion Mills and Ballycolman.
