Clanabogan’s ‘Tadpole Girl’ creating frog frenzy

A CLANABOGAN girl who has taken the internet by storm by sharing fascinating videos of her raising tadpoles now has a couple of hundred baby frogs in her back garden.

Hannah McSorley (17) found online fame on Tik Tok after she brought home frogspawn, and began documenting their growth on her account called @.baby.frogs.

The Loreto Grammar School student had around 37,000 tadpoles and in the past couple of days, they have now started to develop into frogs.

Hannah confessed it is ‘hectic’ but she is delighted that the tadpoles have progressed into frogs.

She said, “Everything is going great.

“I have loads of baby frogs now.

“I have few hundred frogs so far and there is still loads of tadpoles.

“It is just unbelievable how many frogs we have now,” said Hannah.

Collecting frogspawn is a tradition in Hannah’s family home but she has never successfully raise the tadpoles to frogs until this summer.

Hannah explained that she is going to safely release the frogs into different ponds and streams throughout the Tyrone countryside in the coming days.

She explained, “When they are ready, I will release them to different parts of the wild in the upcoming days and weeks as they grow.

“I will keep a few frogs for a while, but eventually I will release them too.”

Hannah hadn’t expected her hobby to become so popular on social media, and her popularity continues to grow.

Each of her videos have been viewed at least 300,000 times, and one video has a whopping 4.5 million views.

Her fans now called her ‘Tadpole Girl’, have elected a president tadpole and she has even been signed to an American influencer agency.

She continued, “It is just crazy but I am just taking it in my stride.

“It is not something I care too much about but I am glad that people are enjoying my videos,” concluded Hannah.
