PRIMARY school children are being invited to deploy their artistic talent in a new council competition to raise awareness of recycling.
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is offering prizes for the top creations in two age categories.
A council spokesperson said, “To take part in the competition, all you have to do is create a piece of artwork from everyday recyclable materials which you would find in your home and ask your parent or guardian to submit a photograph of your artwork together with a signed and competed application form to the Council by email by whatsapp to 07585 992081 or by email to claire.mcdermott@fermanaghomagh.com.
“The competition is open to primary school pupils in the Fermanagh and Omagh district. Entries will be split into two age categories: five to eight year-olds and nine and 12 year-olds and the winning entry in each category will receive a £20 voucher.
“There are also two runner-up prizes of £10 vouchers on offer.”
The closing date for entries is Friday, May 22 and only entries with completed and signed application forms will be accepted. To download an application form and photographic permission slip, visit www.fermanaghomagh.com.
