“Croke Park scared the life out of some boys’

Thady Turbett was a legendary goalkeeper, whose exploits for Omagh, Tyrone, Ulster and Ireland thrilled a GAA generation. In his final interview just a few weeks before his death, he remembered the halycon days of his illustrious footballing career.

Alan Rodgers spoke to the former star when he was honoured to officially open Caife 32 at Healy Park a few weeks ago.

Tributes were also paid by former Tyrone All-Ireland winner, Joe McMahon and Omagh St Enda’s Chairman, Conor Sally.
