NORTHERN Ireland Electricity (NIE), has confirmed that there is a power outage affecting 1242 customers in Drumquin Village and the surrounding area.
A NIE spokesperson said, “NIE Networks were made aware of an outage affecting 1242 customers in Drumquin village and the rural area to west of Omagh around 7.00pm this evening. NIE Networks engineers are currently on site carrying out investigations.”
On a post on social media Councillor Stephen Donnelly said that NIE told him they were hoping to have power restored in the area at 10.30pm.
The Alliance Party Councillor said, “NIE are hoping to have things sorted by 10.30pm, but given they don’t know the cause of the problems yet that might be a bit optimistic.”
