A NEW independent veterinary clinic is set to open in Omagh next week which will cater for everything from your furry pet to your woolly flock – including offering psychological treatment for your pooch.
The Drumragh Veterinary Centre has been established by experienced vets, Eamon Harkin and Sara McGrenaghan.
The pair graduated from the same class of veterinary medicine in Glasgow five years ago and both have been practicing across the North ever since.
Eamon said, “Sara and I have been talking about setting up our own practice for a while because we have noticed a real gap in the market for a real independent vet practice that is focused on family pets and farm animals.”
The Veterinary Centre will offer all of the services your pet of any shape or size could need, from routine treatments and vaccinations to surgeries and emergency assistance.
“We’re also going to be offering our weight loss clinics to help owners ensure their pets avoid the various conditions that being overweight can bring to an animal,” Eamon added.
Another unique service that the Drumragh Veterinary Centre offers, that will help many dog owners in particular, is their course on helping dogs overcome separation anxiety and similar conditions.
Eamon said, “Treating a dog’s psychological issues is something new we’re keen to provide to our customers that not many other practices currently offer.”
Sara and Eamon have worked hard to get this far and are due to open the practice on Monday.
“We’re both very excited to get started, but I would be lying if I wasn’t a bit nervous. The sooner we get started the better as we’ve had to be very organised and work hard to get to this point,” Eamon said.
The Drumragh Veterinary Centre is located on 83 Dromore Road Omagh and you can get in touch by ringing on 028 8262 2198.
