A PLOUGHING event organised by a Sixmilecross family has raised more than £4,000 for two local cancer charities.
The Gibson family of Ballyhallaghan hosted the vintage and classic ‘Furrow-a-Long’ ploughing event in November.
It raised a total of £4,664.
They have since presented two cheques to their chosen charities, Macmillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research UK, with each receiving £2,332.
The family wish to thank everyone who attended and generously supported the event.
