STATISTICS from the Department of Health indicate that Covid-19 cases are continuing to rise across Fermanagh and Omagh District, as well as the rest of the province.
Fermanagh and Omagh has witnessed its highest seven day incidence rate with 857.8 people per 100,000 testing positive.
Last week, from August 2 to August 8, the Department recorded 542 confirmed cases per 100,000 people, in the Fermanagh & Omagh District Council area.
The difference in the total number of cases recorded last week compared to this week is 367, with over 1000 confirmed cases this week compared to 640 last week.
This rise in case numbers coincides with the government decision which comes into force today, excluding people who are fully vaccinated from the automatic requirement to self-isolate for 10 days if someone they have been in close contact with tests positive.
However the rules remain the same for those who have not received both doses of the vaccination.
