IF you have a young child it’s not just Christmas you need to be thinking of. For parents of children born between July 2, 2017 and July 1, 2018 the time is fast-approaching when you need to start thinking of nursery provision for your child for September 2021.

Also, those parents of children in pre-school settings this year or with a date of birth between July 2, 2016 and July 1, 2017 applications for Year 1 will be opening at the start of January.

This year we will have to be more creative in the way we provide you with important information about what our school has to offer. Usually we would invite you to our Open Day, but with the current restrictions, this will not be possible in the usual way.

As a school we appreciate how useful families have found this insight into school life when trying to decide which nursery or primary school would best suit their child.

On our school website www.omaghcounty.org there is a pre-enrolment/expression of interest form which we would encourage you to complete if you have a child due to start Nursery or Year 1 September in 2021.

This will enable Omagh County Primary School and Nursery to communicate directly with you during the next few months. This will ensure that you have the most up to date information regarding the admissions process and can find out what Omagh County PS and Nursery can offer your child.
