FREE compost will be given out at a Strabane recycling centre tomorrow.
The giveaway at Strahan’s Road Recycling Centre is being organised by Derry City and Strabane District Council to say thanks for people’s efforts in recycling their food waste.
The compost will be given away between 10am and 7pm tomorrow.
“The compost you will receive has been made locally from the food and garden waste collected from your brown bin, showing the full circular economy of your brown bin waste being used again,” said a council spokesperson.
“Your plants and vegetables will love it.
“The compost available is in 40 litre bags, quantities are limited and will be given out on a first come first serve basis for one day only.”
