HOLY Family Primary School is a wholly child-centred school, which offers its children the highest possible standard and quality of education. Our excellent, dedicated staff work tirelessly to meet the learning needs and aspirations of every child, ensuring they reach their full potential.
As year one parent Claire Hosier states, “My son loves year one. He never has a bad day and always has so much fun. Holy Family is such a welcoming school and communication between staff and parents is brilliant.”
Our school works in partnership with parents/guardians, parish and has extensive community links in order to provide outstanding learning opportunities for our pupils, both within and beyond the classroom. Reception parent, Anne McGarvey, said, “Holy Family Reception is absolutely brilliant – outdoor play at its very best here! Tapestry is very informative, and my child is so happy in the staff’s care.”
We work in partnership with Omagh County Primary School, through our extensive Shared Education Programme, and are a PATHS Model School (promoting children’s skills of self-management, communication and creative thought).
We have received a Centre of Excellence Award from Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, and received an Eco Flag award for our outstanding work with Sustrans, and our programmes to promote healthy living and care for our environment.
Year one parent, Gemma McTeague said, “My daughter has settled very well in to year one. Staff ensure that children are safe and happy in their learning environment. My child just loves school, and goes in happily every day to see her friends and learn. She shares her wonderful learning experiences with her family, and has grown in confidence. As new parents to Holy Family, we are very happy with this school.”
Holy Family offers full wraparound care for our pupils, with breakfast club and an after-school programme of sports, dance, music and art. We offer private lessons and exam preparation in singing, traditional music and guitar. Our wraparound services are greatly enhanced by having Cornabraken Day Care on-site, providing all-year-round family support, from babies to 12 years.
At Holy Family, we offer an exceptional outdoor learning environment on ‘Happy Hill’, with a mud kitchen, sand pit, paint and water play, a slide and den, and lots of building and gardening opportunities.
Reception parent, Mary Green, said, “My son has a wonderful time in reception class. He has made so many friends and loves ‘Happy Hill’. It’s lovely seeing all the photos on Tapestry each day.”
Your child will just love to learn and grow and develop their confidence, self-esteem, and independence in this fabulous outdoor learning facility.
Year one parent, Aisling Woodhead, stated, “My daughter has settled in absolutely brilliantly to year one. She loves going to school, and leaves happy every day. She loves the playroom; learning new sounds; and is very proud of herself. “Year one in Holy Family is really boosting her confidence and self-esteem,and her independence is shining through.”
