A 37-year-old man arrested on suspicion of driving-related offences and drug-related offences following a search of a car in Sion Mills yesterday has been released on bail to allow for further enquiries.
Police seized cash and made an arrest while on patrol in the village on Monday evening.
Officers made the seizure and arrest after stopping a vehicle on Melmount Road.
Following a search, a large sum of cash was located inside the vehicle as well as a quantity of suspected Class B drugs and an item of drug-related paraphernalia.
The 37-year-old driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of offences including possessing criminal property and possession of a Class B controlled drug. He was also arrested on suspicion of driving when unfit through drink or drug.
