A man arrested in connection with a video which shows a child driving a lorry near Dungannon, has been released on bail.
In an online appeal on Thursday – which has since been removed from the PSNI Mid Ulster Twitter account – the police urged anyone with information on the identity of the adult heard speaking in the video to come forward.
On Friday, they revealed they had arrested a man from the Cookstown area.
“Police, investigating an incident in which a video was shared online of a young boy driving a lorry, have arrested a 37-year-old man in the Cookstown area on suspicion of a number of offences including aiding and abetting driving whilst disqualified by reason of age and cruelty to children.
“The man is currently in custody assisting officers with their enquiries.”
Later, the police revealed that the man had been released on bail pending further enquiries.
