NICHOLL Oils is proud to announce the appointment of Mervyn Byers as the new Omagh depot manager after almost ten years working within the company as a local delivery driver.
Announcing the appointment, Karen Nicholl, HR director for the company said, “We are delighted that Nicholl Oils have selected Mervyn as the new Omagh depot manager. Mervyn was an outstanding candidate throughout the interview process and we would also like to acknowledge and thank him for a fantastic ten years within our transport department.”
With the support of a dedicated sales team, marketing team, transport department and the Nicholl directors, Mervyn is looking forward to his first day in his new role.
He said, “It is definitely going to be very different swapping the lorry for an office but I aim to be out on the road as often as possible in order to not only meet existing customers, but also to introduce myself and the company to new customers. I hope all of the customers I delivered to in the past pop to the depot to say hello and place an order with myself and my new depot colleagues as we enter the colder seasons. ”
Nicholl Oils managing director, Gary Nicholl, is also pleased with the latest appointment.
“With Mervyn being a local man he knows the area very well and after ten years delivering to many customers in and around the Omagh area there will be many people familiar with Mervyn. We wish him well in this new role and look forward to working together throughout what we hope will be a very busy winter season.
