A NEW support group for people who believe they or their loved ones have been harmed by the Covid-19 vaccine has launched in Mid-Ulster.
The Mid-Ulster branch of Vaccine Injured and Bereaved Support (VIBS) was formally launched at Quinn’s Corner, outside Dungannon. The group aims to offer a space for those who feel their lives have been impacted following Covid-19 vaccinations – whether through injury or bereavement – and are encouraging others to come forward.
A spokesperson for the group said the goal is to connect affected individuals with each other, as well as with policymakers, elected representatives and public health officials.
“We hope to bring together those who have been injured or bereaved due to the Covid-19 vaccine,” they said. “We want to give them a voice – and a chance to be heard.”
The group cited several reports, including Omagh musician Larry Lowe, who has spoken publicly about his ongoing health challenges, which he attributes to the vaccine. Organisers say they hope stories like his will encourage others to share their experiences.
VIBS says it wants to see more transparency and recognition for people who believe they’ve suffered as a result of taking the vaccine – and is calling for further investigation and support.
