SINN Fein have selected their three sitting West Tyrone MLAs as their candidates for the constituency in May’s Assembly election.
In running Nicola Brogan, Malíosa McHugh and Declan McAleer, the party have not made any surprise choices.
Sinn Fein announced the three candidates on social media last Wednesday night (February 16).
As it stands, they are the only party who have decided to run more than one candidate in the constituency.
This will be Ms Brogan’s first Assembly election, having been co-opted into the seat after the resignation of her predecessor Catherine Kelly.
She said, “I am privileged to have been selected to contest the upcoming Assembly election in West Tyrone.
“Myself and my Sinn Féin colleagues in West Tyrone, Declan McAleer MLA and Malíosa McHugh MLA will continue to drive forward the issues that matter to the people of West Tyrone and build a better Ireland for everyone.”
Mr McHugh also made a statement on his social media saying he was “delighted and proud” to be re-selected.

Meanwhile, party stalwart, Mr McAleer, said he was “honoured” to have been selected once again.
He added, “Myself and fellow Sinn Féin candidates in West Tyrone will continue work hard on the ground for the people of West Tyrone and strive to create a better Ireland for everyone.”
