IN the early hours of July 12, 1981, Martin Hurson from Galbally died on Hunger Strike. His then fiancee, Bernadette Donnelly from Pomeroy, heard the news of his death on the radio just hours later.
Now, in the week of his anniversary, she speaks to Alan Rodgers on the What’s the Story podcast on the UlsterHerald about her desire to keep his memory alive.
The podcast also includes a contribution from Coalisland woman, Nuala Donnelly, who has written a new book ‘Hurson Boy’ on Martin Hurson and extracts from media reports at the time.
