THE team at Omagh Credit Union are halfway through a year-long celebration marking 60 years in business – a major milestone they’ve been sharing with their loyal members through giveaways, prize draws, and competitions.
One of the standout features of the celebrations has been their heart-warming ‘60 Random Acts of Kindness’ initiative.
“We have given chocolates and roses for Valentine’s Day, delivered sweet treats to our Emergency and Community Support Services and gave out CU piggy banks on National Pig Day,” said a spokesperson for Omagh Credit Union.
“We also had free pancakes on Pancake Tuesday, goody bags on International Women’s Day, shamrocks on St Patrick’s Day, bottled water for World Water Day, Strule Arts Centre Vouchers on Theatre Day, Serendipity vouchers on Mother’s Day, and we’re only half way through the years!”
Omagh CU has also handed out thousands of pounds in prizes to various lucky competition winners, as well as having donated £1,200 to Chest Heart and Stroke NI following a cold water dip fund raising event.
It’s set to be another busy few months for the Omagh Credit Union team. They have a number of exciting celebrations and competitions lined up which will run from April until June.
These include National Gardening Day, an Easter hamper draw, Dementia Awareness Week, Father’s Day, and so much more.
