Tom Sweeney will bring joy to all the family

It wouldn’t be Christmas without Tom Sweeney, and this year the festive favourite is back with a cracking family show – and everyone is invited!

Live-streaming the extravaganza of seasonal songs and stories from the Strule Café, Tom’s annual ‘Christmas Cracker’ promises to lift the hearts of all listeners joining from home.

Tom Sweeney said that he is ‘truly delighted’ to share his positive yearly feast of entertainment, which will be provided to all audiences free-of-charge.

“At one stage I thought the show wouldn’t run this year,” Tom explained. “But through the foresight of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, and the staff here at Strule Arts Centre, I am truly delighted to be able to share the Christmas music with families everywhere.”

CHRISTMAS ENTERTAINMENT

The ‘Christmas from Strule Arts Centre’ live-stream programme will continue over the weeks ahead. At 8pm this Saturday, you are invited to tune in again for the very talented local singer Sinead Taggart, joined by the accomplished singer/musician, Plunkett McGartland. This wonderful duo will be performing a mixture of festive favourites, country and folk to be missed.

Then, on December 19 at 4pm, there will be a very special visit and virtual Christmas message for
all the children out there from Santa Claus himself on Saturday. This will be followed by Larry Lowe Music, performing in ‘El Tres Hombres’ at 8pm, a lively trio, who will sing a mixture of pop and rock hits from the ‘90s and more.

With shows scheduled by Dominic and Barry Kirwan and Guests, The Whistlin’ Donkeys and many more, please see next week’s newspapers and Strule Arts Centre Facebook page for all the details.

The full recording of all live shows will be uploaded to Fermanagh and Omagh District Council You Tube Page soon after the performance where you can view as often as you like with all the family.

• Tom’s ‘Christmas Cracker’ will be live-streamed free from Strule Arts Centre’s Facebook page this Saturday (December 12) at 3pm.
