St Ciaran’s sent their deepest sympathies to the families and friends of its past pupils Mr Corrigan and Mr Finnegan to the family of Peter McNamee. “We will keep the young man currently in hospital in our thoughts and prayers and wish him a full recovery,” they added.

Dean Maguirc College also extended their sympathies to the family of Mr McNamee and his ‘dear friends’ Nathan Corrigan and Peter Finnegan.

In an online post, Clogher Eire Ogs GAA expressed its sympathies to the family of its club member, Peter, and the Corrigan and McNamee families.

“From everyone here at An Clochar Éire Ógs and the community as a whole we would like to send our sincere condolences to the families involved and our prayers are with the individual currently in hospital,” they said.
