THE All-Ireland winning Tyrone team will be returning to the O’Neill County for a homecoming event at O’Neill’s Healy Park this afternoon at 2.30pm.
It is expected that there will be a large attendance of fans to welcome home the players and management following their magnificent victory over Mayo in yesterday’s All-Ireland Final.
Both the players, management and their families held a banquet in the Armagh City Hotel last night and are currently relaxing there prior to making the short trip to Omagh.
The success was the county’s fourth and the homecoming will be held at Healy Park for the second time, following on from 2008.
Now a new generation of young supporters will be getting the chance to sample the sheer delight and euphoria which comes with winning the Sam Maguire Cup.
The Tyrone GAA have urged fans to ‘give them a resounding welcome home.’
