Watch for zombies at the Garden Depot this Halloween

DARKNESS, zombies, clowns and more will descend upon The Garden Depot in Strabane this October as part of a super spooky Halloween experience for all the family.

The enticing outdoor event, titled ‘Nightmare on Dock Street’, will see the grounds of the centre transformed into a haven of Halloween activity, with a haunted trail, wicked storytelling, terrifying performances, haunted house scenes… and even a creaky cemetery to get the shivers going!

Other activities include ‘trick or treating’, face-painting, a cackling candy shack, and a Class Act performers/ dancer for the young and old kids alike. John McGuinness, owner of The Garden Depot, located at Dock Street, hopes the extravaganza will be a ‘spooktacular’ success.

“With my background in events, I always wanted to make sure I could have exciting seasonal events at the garden centre,” he said. “I also loved the idea of giving families something to enjoy and look forward to amidst all the coronavirus uncertainty.” John has expressed his thanks to the BID Team, and Derry City and Strabane District Council for all their help in making sure the upcoming spooktacular event is Covid-19 safe.

‘Nightmare on Dock Street’ will take place on October 23, 24 and 25, and October 28, 29, 30 and 31, beginning at 6.30pm and finishing at 9.30pm. Groups will be able to book half hour slots.

Please note: Strabane Garden Depot’s current opening times are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.
