Woman charged with Covid breach after house parties

A STRABANE woman charged with breaching Covid regulations by having three house parties is alleged to have told police she didn’t care about the regulations and would continue to party as soon as she could.

Sinead Corrigan (46) of Dillon Court, was charged with contravening aprohibition notice issued under coronavirus restrictions and the contravention of a requirement under health protection (coronavirus restrictions) regulations.

At Enniskillen Magistrates Court today (Monday), Corrigan was connected to the two charges. The court heard how police were called to the flat and found four people had arrived around 8.30am on Friday (October 2), and a further two people attended a few hours later.

In total they detected five people from four separate addresses. A prohibition notice of Covid regulations and two further notices were served on the defendant.

When police spoke with Corrigan she said she didn’t care about the regulations and would continue to party as soon as she could.

Corrigan was released on bail and strict conditions were put in place including a curfew from 11pm to 7am and a ban on consuming alcohol.

The case was adjourned until October 29.
