POLICE are advising motorists of a number of events in Tyrone in the coming days which may lead to traffic disruption.
Road users are advised of events and parades scheduled to take place across the Derry City and Strabane PSNI district from this evening until Sunday.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Please be aware of possible impact on traffic as these take place in Newtownstewart, Donemana, Strabane, Castlederg, Plumbridge and Derry/Londonderry. Police will be deployed at some of these events to assist with any traffic issues that arise.”
The local events are:
Thursday, May 8
In Strabane, between 6.50pm-7.30pm, and in Newtownstewart between 7.30pm and 8.30pm, there will be ceremonies at the War Memorial in both areas.
in Donemana, between 7.30pm and 9pm, there will be a parade.
Saturday, May 10
In Plumbridge and Castlederg, there are Darkness into Light walks in both areas starting at 4.15am, and both due to finish in both areas at 5.30am.
Sunday, May 11
Castlederg: From around 1.30pm, a parade is expected to move off from Albert Street car park, along Lower Strabane Road, onto Main Street towards John Street and William Street for a church service at 2pm. At 3pm, parade participants will leave from here at 3pm, along William Street, The Diamond, Main Street, McCay Court and Albert Street car park for dispersal at approximately 4pm.
