Carrickmore and Cill Iseal served up a thrilling opening on Thursday night in Division One with Sorcha Gormley scoring a remarkable 2-10 of the Carmen tally. This was a hard fought tie. Zoe Loughran had scored four points for the St Mary’s with points from Grainne Rafferty and Lisa Treanor keeping them in the hunt but Gormley was key on the night.

Early days for Omagh and early days too for Moortown who made it back to back wins with a 2-13 to 2-5 win over Fintona.
The Loughshore side played well all over the park, Emma Murphy’s 1-2 in the first half set them on the road as they led by eight by the break. Caoimhe McNally added a second goal. Devlin and Hurl added points, finishing the game with thirteen players after cards saw Moortown concede late scores.

The Red Knights led at the break thanks to a late penalty but through the second half the O’Neill’s took charge with Erin McGinn a constant threat for the home side.
